18 Weeks

I cannot believe I'm already 18 weeks.  I am really starting to feel the baby move.  I think I've felt this for a few weeks, but it was very sporadic and faint.  Now, I feel movement every day if not multiple times a day.  It's such a weird, but neat feeling.  I'm sure it'll continue to get much stronger in the days and weeks ahead.  I'm starting to grow too.  My pants are becoming tighter and tighter by the day.  I've still only bought one pair of maternity capris, but I've had to buy some more pj pants that don't cut off my circulation.  I figure by 20 weeks, I'll have to put most of my old clothes away for a few months.

We registered for the first couple of items today.  I took Jonathan by Pottery Barn Kids and showed him the "Sweet Lambie" nursery bedding that I've been eyeing for a while.  We both love it, so we decided to go with it.  It's neutral and goes well with the color schemes of our house.  Also, we'd be able to use it for a second child.  We'll of course be adding more things once we learn the sex, and we'll register at other places as well.  If you want to view our registry at PBK click here http://www.potterybarnkids.com/registry/2533278/registry-list.html.

Only one more week and we'll finally find out whether or not we'll have a baby boy or girl.  I'm about to go crazy waiting to find out.  Jonathan doesn't seem to be too anxious.  I wish I had his calmness and patience.  I have caught myself subconsciously saying "she" and "her" but now I'm not so sure.  Obviously it could go either way.  Still trying to decide on names, and I still have not bought a name book.  Pregnesia is preventing me from buying one.

Unless something else exciting happens between now and then, check back a week from tomorrow for the sex.

I am 16 going on 17 weeks pregnant!

I can't believe it!  Over 4 months pregnant now.  Time is flying by, but I'm not really showing it.  I went to the doctor last Thursday and have gained 2 pounds back that I lost from all the morning sickness.  Everyone keeps telling me I don't look pregnant, which I should take as a compliment, but I wish I had a noticeable bump.  Other than having to get up in the night to use the restroom, I don't feel pregnant.  Not complaining though because I'm glad the morning sickness is gone!

Well, back to the doctor's visit.  The heart rate was 156 this time and everything seems good.  I'll go back May 3rd for the 2nd trimester ultrasound and will found out the sex!  I can't wait.  Just over two more weeks and we'll know if we'll have a little girl or boy.  So, if you have not voted on the poll at the top right-hand side of this page, you better do so by May 1st.  I wish I knew who was voting for what.

Haven't picked out names yet.  I think we'll start focusing on that now that Jonathan's test will be over in a few hours.  (In case you did not know, he's taking the principles of engineering exam to become a licensed engineer.)  Please pray he does great on the exam!

Probably won't hear much from us until May 3rd.  So stay tuned...
