And she shall be called...

Sydney Brooke Warren--We finally decided on the name. Both names are actually family names. Jonathan's dad and granddad's names are George Sidney, so we just changed the spelling to fit a girl. Jonathan really liked the name Brooke and so do I, plus it happens to be my cousin's middle name. We're so excited to finally have a name for our baby girl.

I went for a check up today. Sydney's heart rate is strong, my iron level is holding (no iron supplements for now), and the best news (can't believe I'd ever be glad to say this) I gained 5 pounds. Doctor said everything looks great! I'll go back in 4 more weeks.

Half Way There

We're halfway there. 20 weeks down, 20 weeks to go. I can't believe that in around 20 weeks our little girl will be here. We've still got so much to do. We've at least started registering and looking at furniture. Too many things to have to make decisions about.

I had a great first mother's day. Even though we haven't formally met baby Warren yet, she did go in with her daddy to get her mommy a gift and pick out a Mother's day card. That was very thoughtful of her and her dad. She did kick a few times on Sunday to let me know she's there and can't wait to meet us.

I am finally getting to the point where I need maternity clothes. I haven't been able to button my pants for weeks now and some I can't hardly zip up now. I plan to go shopping this week since I'm finally almost done with school. I just have finals to give on Wednesday and then baby and I will focus on her nursery.

18 Weeks

I cannot believe I'm already 18 weeks.  I am really starting to feel the baby move.  I think I've felt this for a few weeks, but it was very sporadic and faint.  Now, I feel movement every day if not multiple times a day.  It's such a weird, but neat feeling.  I'm sure it'll continue to get much stronger in the days and weeks ahead.  I'm starting to grow too.  My pants are becoming tighter and tighter by the day.  I've still only bought one pair of maternity capris, but I've had to buy some more pj pants that don't cut off my circulation.  I figure by 20 weeks, I'll have to put most of my old clothes away for a few months.

We registered for the first couple of items today.  I took Jonathan by Pottery Barn Kids and showed him the "Sweet Lambie" nursery bedding that I've been eyeing for a while.  We both love it, so we decided to go with it.  It's neutral and goes well with the color schemes of our house.  Also, we'd be able to use it for a second child.  We'll of course be adding more things once we learn the sex, and we'll register at other places as well.  If you want to view our registry at PBK click here http://www.potterybarnkids.com/registry/2533278/registry-list.html.

Only one more week and we'll finally find out whether or not we'll have a baby boy or girl.  I'm about to go crazy waiting to find out.  Jonathan doesn't seem to be too anxious.  I wish I had his calmness and patience.  I have caught myself subconsciously saying "she" and "her" but now I'm not so sure.  Obviously it could go either way.  Still trying to decide on names, and I still have not bought a name book.  Pregnesia is preventing me from buying one.

Unless something else exciting happens between now and then, check back a week from tomorrow for the sex.
