Family and Friends Shower in Albertville

This shower was at my Grandmother's house in Albertville. Sydney got lots of cute things from all the family and friends that came. She got lots of pretty knitted clothes and blankets, lots of other cute clothes, diapers, bath items, her crib mobile, her bouncer, some toys and accessories for her room, and much much more.

32 Week Visit

Today I had my 32 week doctor's visit. Baby Sydney's heart rate is 140-150 bpm and is doing well. My blood pressure and other levels are great and my belly is measuring 32 weeks. I have gained 17-18 pounds since the beginning of the pregnancy and the doctor is thrilled with that. I go back in two weeks and then two weeks after that. Then, I'll start going every week beginning the first week of September. Approximately 8 more weeks to go!!!

Saturday, July 31 we had our first shower for Sydney. My dad's side of the family hosted the shower at my aunt Kim and uncle Joe's house. We had a great time! The food was delicious and the games Lisa planned were a lot of fun! We got lots of nice things, i.e. Sydney's swing, highchair, diaper genie, pack-n-play, lots of adorable clothes, and diapers. Thanks to everyone who helped with the shower and all those who came!

31 weeks

I'm 31 weeks pregnant now. I can't believe we've got 9 weeks left. This week we've had our parenting/birthing classes. They've been informative and we'll see just how much we remember in 2 months. :) It was fun watching Jonathan swaddle a baby doll and change a diaper.

A week from today is our first shower and we're really excited. More to come in about a week!

30 Weeks

I went for my 30 week check up yesterday. Everything is coming along great! Sydney's heart rate was 140-150 bpm. I'm measuring on schedule and have gained another 3 pounds in the last 3 weeks. I've gained 16 pounds since the beginning. I know start my every two week appointments for the next 3 visits and then it's once a week! Wow, I can't believe that we're 2 months away.

This week we start our parenting/birthing classes at St. Vincent's. I'm excited about them and think Jonathan is too. I'll definitely post our reactions to the classes soon.

We also have our showers in the next 2-3 weeks. We're so grateful that we have so many family and friends that are willing to do this for us. Thanks to everyone that's helping!

I'll try to get a picture of my posted soon. We just haven't taken a decent one in a while.
